Just finishing up some wee chores before I head out to the airport for a 14:00 flight back to Heathrow, and then on to Edinburgh and Home. Spent most of yesterday working on a paper for the HIE Board at the end of the month, but nipped out to catch up with colleagues – in the bar – at the end of the conference. It was day 3, and mostly technical stuff around US permitting and consenting, so not of direct relevance to the day job. Anyway I’d given the keynote on Day 1, so felt it was OK to focus on some more domestic stuff in my Hotel room.
Seattle was very wet yesterday, 12 hours of soaking vertical rain, of a type we tend not to see in Scotland. I did nip down to Pike St Market just as the skies cleared, and managed this sunset shop of the iconic illuminated sign.
