The esplanade in front of Edinburgh Castle is usually a very busy place. The location of the tattoo, obviously, and thronged with tourist almost all year long. But a cold early evening in late January does bring a respite. Oh there were a few folk around, but not enough to mess up a long exposure shot of the Castle Entrance and the Grand Battery.
Of course I wandered up with only my little EPL-1, and no tripod, but this original Olympus mini 4/3rds camera does allow you do almost everything that a full sized DSLR can do, and is small enough that it can be balanced on top of a traffic cone for this rather nice wide angle shot.
